COScasts
A COScast is an internet broadcast in mp3 format specially prepared by the COS for your listening pleasure. The format is like a traditional half-hour broadcast, complete with announcements by the organist.
You can get the programme by downloading it on your computer. In fact it's like a podcast, except that, regrettably, it's not free. Although the organists and organ custodians have generously offered their services free, there are incidental expenses, such as travelling expenses and copyright fees, which have to be paid for somehow. However, at £5.50 each, these shows are sheer bargain-priced enjoyment!
The first COScast is already available. If it is well received, more will follow. Select Buy a COScast, using the menu on the left, then follow the instructions on the screen.
Note: If you have a broadband connection, the COScast will take only a few minutes to download. With a dial-up connection it is likely to take hours rather than minutes.
